THC

LYRA

Flavorful Indica with relaxed bodily effects

While the specific ratio of Sativa to Indica technically falls within the ‘hybrid’ label, patients generally agree the effects fall mostly on the Indica side. Derived from the West Coast classic Sweet Kush, Lyra has a particularly sweet flavor and aroma with hints of earthy and fruity tones. The immediate effect is cerebral, but that quickly fades into bodily deep relaxation. The effects are described as creativity inducing while delivering a healthy dose of euphoria. Helpful in treating symptoms of insomnia, depression, anxiety, and managing chronic pain.

Current medical literature supports the use of THC rich products for the treatment of all conditions approved for medical cannabis.

Key Benefits

“Vaping” is short for “vaporization”. Effects are felt immediately and unlike smoking, no combustion or burning takes place. Portable vaporizers are very discreet, as vapor dissipates quickly with minimal odor.

Instructions

Patients are recommended to initiate treatment on the evening of Day 1 with 1-3 inhalation sessions. Each session consists of 1-2 draws that are relatively shallow (1-3 seconds) and held for about 5 seconds before exhaling.

After 5-10 minutes, patients reassess symptoms. If symptoms have improved or subsided, no additional sessions are needed and patients take the next dose on the morning of Day 2. Relief for patients with chronic neuropathic pain who have not responded adequately to other pain medication.

Warnings

Lyra® is contraindicated in patients:
• with hypersensitivity to cannabinoids (e.g., THC or CBD) or to any of the inert ingredients in Lyra®;
• with a significant history of cardiovascular disease;
• with an active or previous psychotic or active mood or anxiety disorder; and
• who are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.

Key Benefits

Tinctures are absorbed sublingually, so essential cannabinoids are absorbed directly into the bloodstream. Effects are delayed through the absorption process but are prolonged. The application is very discreet, with no odor.

Instructions

Lyra®ttaoil is to be administered orally. The starting dose is 2.5 mg twice daily (5 mg a day). Patients are recommended to initiate treatment on the evening of Day 1 with 2.5 mg. After 5-7 days, the dose can be gradually increased to 5 mg twice a day (10 mg a day).

Patients who are tolerating Lyra® at 5 mg twice daily and who may benefit from a dosage increase can be further titrated to a maximum recommended maintenance dosage of 10 mg twice daily (20 mg day). This should be titrated over several weeks, as tolerated. Dosage should not be increased more frequently than every other day.

Warnings

Lyra® is contraindicated in patients:
• with hypersensitivity to cannabinoids (e.g., THC or CBD) or to any of the inert ingredients in Lyra®;
• with a significant history of cardiovascular disease;
• with an active or previous psychotic or active mood or anxiety disorder; and
• who are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
